Siva Manasula Sakthi is a Tamil film directed by Rajesh and starring Jeeva and newcomer Anuya Bhagvath, a student of Pune Film Institute, in the lead roles. It began its first schedule on March 10, 2008. The film released on February 14, 2009.
The movie starts with Siva and Sakthi casually metting in a train. Siva claims himself to be an Indian army Officer while Shakti claims herself to be an air hostess. They discuss about their professions for the rest of the journey and go about their respective ways after disembarking from the train. Siva goes straight to his house and tells his mother, sister Viji and her students about his encounter with this very beautiful girl in train. The family along Siva's 'chaddi buddy' Vivek go to the airlines office to meet Sakthi. They are in for a surprise as Shakila walks out claimimg to br Sakthi. Siva's family and Vivek laugh their ass off at this. The receptionist at the airlines office who happens to be Sakthi's roommate informs Sakthi of the army officers visit. Siva in reality works as a delivery boy for Professional couriers while Sakthi works as a Radio Jockey for Hello FM. They meet up in Hello FM's office when Siva gets a courier to deliver her. They are shocked to learn that the other one has lied and vow to hit back soon. Siva and Vivek call up as Sakthi as she hosts a show for children and tease her. Siva later calls up Sakthi and in a fit of rage, she challanges Siva to directly confront her face to face instead of calling up. Siva finds her address and delivers a few booze bottles to her in the presense of her dad. Claiming that the bottles were sent from her friend in Pondy. A few days later, Sakthi turns up at Siva's place. With Siva's mom and sis always game to pull his leg. She joins them to to tease him. In the meantime, Siva and Vivek regularly booze and provide a lot of hilarious moments. This, apart from the humorous stotyline makes the first half a laugh riot. Siva and Vivek meet a person struggling to have a half beer and he later turns out to be Sakthi's brother. Siva tries to take Sakthi out to a movie and manages to take her to Satyam Cinemas in his bike but she uses him as a driver and goes to the movie with another collegue. Siva having bought two tickets coincidently meets Vivek with his girl Nepali Niki(a rich gal) who gives bulb to Vivek and leaves with her set of friends. Our hero wathces the movie with Vivek sitting behind heroine and her collegue. A few days later, Siva learns that Sakthi is about to get married in registrar's office. He goes there only to find her bro getting married. The bride's cousins who oppose this marriage come there to stop the wedding. But our hero stops and smashes them all for calling Asin, Nayantara, Trisha and Namitha mokka figs(they are top heroines of kollywood currently). Our heroine gets impressed and falls for the hero for hanging like tandori chicken and fighting skills. She again visits our heros place and befriends Siva's mom and sister Viji. She stays overnight and proposes to Siva with a cake. Siva had earlier told his Birthday during the initial train journey which turns out to be a lie. Siva's family laugh their ass off and hurt her. She leaves the house and goes to her place. She throws off Greeting cards off her window. Siva who had come to console her is overjoyed at seeeing the cards and starts to dance outside her house. First half ends here with Siva manasula Sakthi changing to Shakti manasula Siva on screen. Siva meets Sakthi in a bus and apologies for the birthday incident. Sakthi remains indifferent to his pleas, gets down halfway and leaves with her collegue. She would have been listening to songs all the while through our hero's talking. Vivek coincidently comes to the place after she leaves and brags about his new mobile to Siva. Siva calls up Sakthi with his new mobile and breaks it in frustration when she cuts the call. Siva goes straight to his home. Viji pulls his leg as usual. Our hero, in fit of rage starts hurting her. He accuses his mom of being a chatterbox who killed his dad via non stop talking and leaves home. He comes back home and pleads guilty for his actions in the morning. He manages to get himself forgiven. Siva and Vivek as usual, go to a bar and start drinking. Siva gets drunk and again breaks Viveks another new mobile after Sakthi refuses to talk to him. He goes straight to her office and creates a rukus over there. Sakthi is not present there and he physically abuses her collegue for claiming himself to be her fiance. Cops are called and the cop happens to be someone who has had a love failure. He lets our man go off. Sakthi comes to Siva's place and both of them have yet another altercation. They decide to go their seperate ways. A few days later, Sakthi's dad calls up and asks her to meet a prospective groom Arun(Arya). They meet up and coincidently Siva comes to deliver a courier in the same hotel. Sakthi introduces him to be a close friend of hers. Arun invites him for a coffee. Sakthi leaves for the restroom and Arun asks Siva about Sakthi. When Sakthi returns, Siva must have left. Arun tells her about what Siva had told him about her. Sakthi realises that Siva has understood her perfectly and immidiately goes in search of him and finds him in a wine shop. She goes right inside and proposes to him. He asks her if she can have pre martial sex with him. She later agrees to it verbally. Siva makes her run around in different temples the next day for their wedding and is present at her home when she returns frustrated. They have yet another fight. Will they get together or go seperate ways form the rest of the story.
